Mr Fox, Softies and Etsy

So today i hope to share with you a couple of things. Firstly, I finished another softie whom i named (obviously, who doesnt name every.single.softie they own?! jk) Mr. Fox. Now as his name suggests, yes, he is a fox. A tall, lanky, scarf-and-suspenders-wearing fox. He was a ball to make... firstly because i feel a special connection to foxes only because my surname (de Vos) is translated in Dutch to be 'the fox' (ironic right?!), and secondly because i love love LOVE making softies. Theres nothing like the processes from a plan, to pieces of fabric lying everywhere, to impossible seams (and tedious unpicking where my designs didnt quite match up to my epectations....), to stuffing the life (aka PolyFil) into the form and stitching it up. During the process a name always comes up and before its even done im referring to my softies as great friends. Anyway I spent a bit of spare time taking photos of my new friend Mr Fox, and in the meantime snapped a few of Maisy (the bunny), Fred (the somehow-gorgeous monster-ish one), Koala (i tell you, my sister named him) and Bear (thats not actually her name, i just have memory loss occastionally....)

ps I dont know WHY the photos all turned around...on my computer theyre saved the right way round, so im ready to yell...but im sure you can still see them ok, just turn your screen sideway or something =)

Aaaaaand Im super exited because im opening an Etsy store!!! Its going to be full of softies, and all sorts of exiting stuff Ive made- Ive attached a little previw right below: the store header... as soon as i get everything sorted, Ill post the link and welcome EVERYONE into it!! For those of you who dont know, Etsy is an online marketplace for vingage and handmade items, there's a whole community on there from all over the world- and anyone can sell on it as long as you have a computer and imgination!!! i dare you to have a look over at Etsy.com! =)
